Oman Energy: Steve Phimister To Take Charge As New Managing Director Of PDO

Muscat: Petroleum Development Oman has announced the appointment of Steve Phimister, the current Vice President – Upstream of Shell in the UK, as their new Managing Director.
The news came after Raoul Restucci, the Managing Director of the energy company, retired from his position after 10 successful years at the helm.
Steve Phimister is due to take charge of his new role in July 2021. PDO has touted him as an experienced and strategic leader of large businesses and organisations.
With an extensive portfolio in upstream, downstream, and midstream oil and gas businesses, and in other management roles such as business development, commercial, strategy, and project and asset leadership, Phimister will bring over 30 years of experience to the Sultanate when he takes over his new role.
