Number Of SME’s Registered By End Of May Increases By 20.3%
Muscat: The Total number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) registered with the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development till the end of May 2021 stood at 53,166 thus, growing by 20.3% from May last year, according to the National Centre For Statistics & Information (NCSI).
Among all the Governorates, the Governorate of North Al Batinah witnessed an increase of 20.4% and the Governorate of Muscat followed closely with an increase of 20.3%.
The total number of SMEs registered Governorate-wise is as follows: Governorate of Muscat-17927, Governorate of North Al-Batinah-8411, Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah-6616, Governorate of Dhofar-4439, Governorate of South Al-Batinah-4049, Governorate of North A’Sharqiah-3527, Governorate of South A’Sharqiah-3158, Governorate of A’Dhahira-3016, Governorate of Al-Buraimi-1135, Governorates of Al-Wusta and Musandam stood at 691 and 197 respectively.
