MOH Announces Increase in Gap for Second Dose of AstraZeneca Vaccine

Muscat: The Ministry of Health announced that, due to the global supply shortage for the AstraZeneca vaccine and the delay by the manufacturers, the period between the first dose and the second dose is going to be increased to four months. The Ministry clarified that this duration is perfectly adequate to maintain the efficacy of the vaccine shots.
The Ministry also, said that those citizens and residents who are due to receive their second doses will be notified via SMS.
