Jebel Sifah Golf Course to open in early 2017

HE Maitha Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, visited Muriya’s Jebel Sifah project to have a closer look on the company’s achievements and upcomi
ng additions including the 9-hole PGA golf course. Designed with the environment in mind by the renowned Peter Harridine, and developed with golf experts Troon, this masterpiece is set to be launched in early 2017 alongside the newly designed Golf Residences.
CEO of Muriya, Ahmed Dabbous, welcomed HE Maitha and accompanied her on a tour of the project, presenting the latest updates of facilities and services, while also sharing the upcoming plans of this growing community. Maitha also visited the recently opened Muriya Community Centre, which serves the local community of Sifah village.
Since breaking ground in 2008, Jebel Sifah has grown into an integrated town featuring a range of freehold waterfront residences complemented by high-end retail, leisure and hospitality outlets. At the heart of the destination is the picturesque Marina, home to the four-star 67-room Sifawy Boutique Hotel. The destination also boasts an array of lively restaurants, shops and service outlets, all complemented by a host of first-class recreation and entertainment facilities.
From the outset, Jebel Sifah has been developed in close alignment with the Ministry of Tourism’s vision of creating a sustainable tourism industry in the Sultanate. Most recently, the destination participated in the Ministry’s ‘Discover the Beauty of Oman’ summer campaign. With the upcoming additions, Muriya is continuing to cement its reputation as a developer of sustainable projects that create long-term value for the tourism, real estate and leisure sectors.
