Guidelines For Foreign Visitors To Follow When Visiting Oman Without Entry Visa

From guidelines to follow to fines for overstaying, here’s everything you need to know if you are planning on visiting Oman without a visa.
A breakthrough for the local tourism industry, the Sultanate will now allow citizens of 103 countries to visit the nation without applying for a visa.
The decision came into effect today [December 10] – and it will allow visitors to stay in Oman for a period of 10 days without a visa.
The list of countries includes India, Britain, the United States, Iran, France, Netherlands, South Korea, and many more.

While the newly-implemented decision will give travellers a free hand to visit Oman, there are criteria to follow. This includes the following:
– Travellers will require a booking from a hotel in Oman. The ticket must be booked and confirmed prior to entry.
– Travellers must opt for health insurance before entering Oman.
– A two-way ticket is mandatory for those visiting Oman. They are legally required to present your return ticket at the counter before boarding their flight to Oman.
– As per the new decision, visitors who exceed the 10-day visa-less stay limit will be subjected to a fine of RO10 per day.
– COVID-19 rules are still in effect in the Sultanate and social distancing norms are strictly followed. It is mandatory to wear a face mask in Oman.
– Airline passengers do not need not conduct a PCR test before arriving in Oman. Tests will be conducted in the airport upon arrival.
– Travellers coming to Oman via land borders must bring a certificate of their PCR test.
