BREAKING: HM The Sultan To Establish Basic Law And Appoint New Crown Prince
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik issued two Royal Decrees today [Monday, January 11] that underline state and governance matters that are in line with the Oman Vision 2040.
As per the Oman News Agency, HM the Sultan will appoint a new Crown Prince to the Sultanate and state his duties and powers. The decree is also expected to establish a ‘specific and stable mechanism for the transfer of governing authority in the Sultanate’.
Moreover, a Basic Law will be established for the state to devote a special system to follow up on the progress of work in government units.
It is also expected to evaluate the performance of ministers, deputies, and those in positions in these units.
