Bahwan Projects & Telecoms wins the ‘Best Exhibitor Award’
Bahwan Projects & Telecoms [BPT], one of the flagship companies of Suhail Bahwan Group, won the “Best Exhibitor Award” at the recently concluded Oman Geospatial Forum held at Sultan Qaboos University.
Bahwan Projects & Telecoms [BPT], one of the flagship companies of Suhail Bahwan Group, won the “Best Exhibitor Award” at the recently concluded Oman Geospatial Forum held at Sultan Qaboos University. The award was given for the best stall design and for showcasing two of its major technologies in the field of Geospatial & Navigation brands BPT represents in the Sultanate of Oman.
In a custom-designed stall at the expo, Bahwan P&T displayed the latest, specialized survey-solutions equipment products from Leica Geosystems, Switzerland, and innovative GPS/navigation technology products from Garmin, USA.
Air Commodore Yaqoob Bin Saud Al Toobi, Head of National Survey Authority (NSA), Oman, along with Dr. Ali Said Al-Balushi, Head of Geography Department, Sultan Qaboos University and Mr. Saleem Al Hashmi, Director of Geospatial Information, NSA visited the BPT booth, where Mr. Yasser Mohammed Kheir, General Manager Bahwan Projects & Telecoms received the guests and explained the various products and solutions from Leica and Garmin on display.
Mr. Yasser Mohammed Kheir said, “Geospatial technology has become an important part of several sectors today and is being applied in most developmental projects across the Sultanate. Products from Garmin on display included Garmin GPS with Camera Garmin Nuvicam, Garmin Nuvi 65, Garmin GPS MAP64S, Garmin Montana 680 and Fitness Segment included Garmin Vivoactive Fitness Smart Watch, Garmin Fenix 3 Fitness Watches.
Garmin manufactures and supplies navigational/ GPS products worldwide for automotive, aviation, marine, outdoor and fitness markets.
Representatives from oil and gas companies, various ministries, defence establishments, power and telecom companies, survey agencies, highways & transport authorities, national remote sensing agencies, survey authorities and cartographic centres, civil aviation authorities and geological and metrological departments visited the BPT stall and keenly watched the product demonstration.
