ASMED Launches New Guide On SMEs & Startups In Oman

The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (ASMED) launched its first edition of “Guide for Small and Medium Enterprises and Start-ups”.
The step seeks to market SMEs and introduce them to different government and private establishments, segments of society and investors. ASMED also aspires to help local SMEs and start-ups go global.
The guide, which comprises 84 nascent enterprises in its first edition, also covers Omani trademarks specialised in industry and technology. It reflects diversity in terms of activities, products and services that the firms offer to individuals and establishments.
SMEs currently constitute some 4.1 per cent of the industrial sector, as per the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
By providing SMEs and start-ups exposure, the guide offers them an optimal opportunity to expand their activities within Oman and abroad.
