A Family Iftar Destination Arrives at Al-Futtaim IKEA in Oman

Al-Futtaim IKEA invites families to gather for a relaxed Ramadan Iftar experience, bringing together traditional flavours, warm ambience, and a welcoming setting at Oman Avenues Mall.

In Oman, the Holy Month of Ramadan evenings carry a rhythm of their own. The pace slows, lights soften, and homes come alive with the aroma of dishes prepared not merely for nourishment, but for connection. While intimate majlis gatherings remain staples of the season, a quieter shift is underway – toward experiences that blend accessibility with thoughtful design, comfort with authenticity.

At Oman Avenues Mall, Al-Futtaim IKEA presents a Ramadan Iftar experience that reflects precisely this evolution: generous, contemporary and deeply rooted in the spirit of togetherness.

Available daily throughout the Holy Month from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, the annual buffet transforms the brand’s restaurant into a convivial dining space where families, professionals, and friends gather with warmth and intention.

At the heart of the buffet is the live Lamb Ouzi station, an unmistakable Ramadan favourite that anchors the experience both visually and culturally. Around it, guests can enjoy a thoughtful selection of hot and cold mezze, soups, mains, refreshing beverages, and an array of desserts that evoke the warmth of traditional gatherings.

Guests move fluidly between stations, building plates that reflect personal taste rather than a fixed menu sequence. Children gravitate toward lighter fare and sweets, while adults linger over savoury classics.

That same sense of ease extends to the price. While Ramadan dining out can add up quickly, IKEA keeps the focus on togetherness, with generous variety and family-friendly pricing

The buffet is priced at OMR 8.9 for adults, OMR 2.9 for children aged six to twelve, and complimentary for younger guests, with IKEA Family members enjoying a reduced rate of OMR 6.9. Each buffet purchase includes an OMR 1.5 voucher.

For those who prefer the intimacy of home entertaining, Al-Futtaim IKEA extends the experience beyond the restaurant. A family-sized Lamb Shuwa takeaway meal, weighing approximately four kilograms, serves as a ready-made centrepiece for private gatherings, available at OMR 25 or OMR 19 for IKEA Family members, with orders placed at least 24 hours in advance for takeaway.

These offerings acknowledge a modern reality: Ramadan today is observed across diverse lifestyles, from multigenerational households to young professionals hosting intimate Iftars.

Aligning with the essence of Ramadan is the brand’s Iftar Meal Box initiative. Priced at OMR 1.25, the boxes contain essential items to help individuals in need break their fast. Customers may distribute them personally or entrust IKEA to do so on their behalf, reinforcing a culture of quiet philanthropy. Boxes can be pre-ordered in a minimum of 10, 24 hours in advance.

In this context, generosity becomes not an afterthought but an integrated part of the offering, reflecting Ramadan’s deeper purpose. During the Holy Month, IKEA prioritises the dining experience and atmosphere as much as the cuisine.

Families linger beyond the meal, conversations stretch unhurriedly, and the boundaries between public venue and private gathering begin to blur. It is an environment designed for the small gestures – passing a dish, refilling a glass, sharing a story – that ultimately define the season.

The Ramadan Iftar buffet by Al-Futtaim IKEA Oman distinguishes itself through its thoughtful and welcoming spread. It offers a refined yet approachable experience that reflects what many families value most: comfort, accessibility, and authenticity.

For many Muscat residents, it may well become a contemporary Ramadan tradition: a place where design meets hospitality, and where the true richness of the season – deepening connections with family and loved ones – takes centre stage.
