Dubai-based Gloria Hotels and Resorts has announced a number of new hotel signings and openings for 2016, ensuring the target to become one of Middle East’s leading hospitality providers. In 2010, Gloria Hotels & Resorts set a goal to increase its portfolio of operating properties to 13.
By the end of 2016 the group will have 9 operational properties with an addition of 6 new hotels. New openings are spread across the cities within the GCC particularly in Riyadh, Makkah, Abu Dhabi, Egypt and Oman.
Gloria Hotels & Resorts currently operates 7 properties across the GCC each catering to the distinctive requirements of today’s business and leisure travelers. Two of their prominent properties – Yassat Gloria Hotel and Apartments and Gloria Hotel are based in Dubai. Antoine Sayegh, President of Gloria Hotels and Resorts said: “Maintaining a top notch comfort and creating that ‘wow’ factor for guests when they arrive is key to ensuring an enjoyable stay. Great service needs to be complemented with impressive, yet comfortable surroundings if we are to maintain our reputation in the market.”
The refurbishment plans were announced just in time as the hotel group launches its new global sales offices in UK, China, India and the Middle East to target outbound travel from these key markets. The new global sales office appointment was made as Gloria Hotels and Resorts seeks to widen and strengthen its brand engagement and awareness among British, Chinese, Indian and Middle Eastern travellers and travel industry leaders.
The global sales office is another success as the hotel group also celebrates the receipt of Green Globe Certificate. An environmentally friendly promotional package called as ‘3G: Go Green with Gloria’ was also launched to further commit to being an eco-friendly brand. Guests booking the 3G: Go Green with Gloria’ package would receive a “green” two-night stay at Gloria Hotel or Yassat Gloria Hotel and Apartments and will have a tree planted in their name, as well as receive a one-day NOL card allowing travel on Dubai’s Metro, trams and buses.
Additionally, with each booking the hotel will make a AED 10 donation to a carbon offset programme. The “3G: Go Green with Gloria” package is available for booking resident markets as well as tourist visiting the Emirates.
