Central Bank of Oman launches new coins
Central Bank of Oman (CBO), on the occasion of the 45th National Day 2015, announced the issuance of New Circulation Coins of 100, 50, 25, 10, and 5 baizas with effect from Saturday.
Central Bank of Oman (CBO), on the occasion of the 45th National Day 2015, announced the issuance of New Circulation Coins of 100, 50, 25, 10, and 5 baizas with effect from Saturday. The issuance of the new commemorative set of coins will be offered for sale at OMR6.500.
These new coins will circulate as legal tender along with the existing circulation coins.
The new coins on the front side depicts the name and title of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said; national emblem, name of the Central Bank of Oman, year of minting, and denomination in Arabic and English while the back side depicts the 45th National Day Logo.
