Stay Healthy in 2019
If you are yet to get ahead on your 2019 health resolutions, don’t lose hope. You still can start today. If you are still on the fence about your health plan for 2019 or looking to start living healthier, Ivan Djordjevic, Master Trainer at Technogym Emirates has 10 simple yet effective tips to ace the wellness game in the new year.
1. Eat more greens!
Especially crucifer or vegetables. This will help you to detoxify your body and nourish your system with excellent nutrients.
2. Join Technogym’s social campaign ‘Let’s Move For A Better World’.
Let’s Move for a Better world, at its 6th edition, represents the biggest social campaign in the industry. It leverages Technogym’s technology and connected equipment to motivate people to join their local fitness club, to move more and more regularly, and share their results with the global Technogym community worldwide. Download the Technogym App or head over to Technogym.com to see dates and locate your closest facility through the Gym Finder and start exercising: it’s going to be good for you and for others. The more active the clubs, the more their collected Moves… and the bigger their donation!!
3. Hit 10,000 steps a day!
Being more active will help you to burn more calories and become healthier all round. It also reduces stress levels – as an added bonus, especially when you are back to work in the New Year and everything is super busy!
4. Drink more water!
This is a very simple, yet important tip. So many people do not drink enough water and dehydration seriously affects your overall health. Water purifies and detoxifies your system. It helps to eliminate toxins.
5. Start taking Magnesium!
Magnesium is involved in more than one hundred biochemical reactions in your body. It helps muscle repair, enhances sleep, reduces stress, strengthens your immunity and metabolises carbohydrates to name a few.
6. Meditation!
Living in a fast-paced world isn’t easy; our work, family and social lives tend to be hectic. Meditating on a daily basis will help you to stay tuned with your emotions and release your stress hormones.
7. Be more grateful!
People are too focused on what they don’t have rather than being grateful for what they do have. The mind is a very powerful tool for your overall happiness.
8. Eliminate intoxicants!
And if you can’t eliminate it then at least massively reduce your consumption. Intoxicants of all variety destroy your energy levels and make you crave processed foods, which of course is never good for your health.
9. Eliminate processed food!
Stop abusing food delivery apps and start cooking. Plan your meals ahead of time and get ahead of the game. Think clean, real, whole foods. Your wallet will thank you for it too.
10. Spend less time on social media!
Focus on your own life and stop comparing yourself with other people. Nothing is ever quite as it seems on Instagram. Spending less time on social media will free up some time to focus on your own happiness.
