Worried About Your Visa Expiring? UAE Says Validity Until End Of 2020
All visas, entry permits and Emirates ID cards will remain valid this the end of this year, UAE government announced today.
In a virtual press conference held today, Colonel Khamis Al Kaabi, spokesperson for the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, said that UAE visas, entry permits and ID cards for those inside or outside the country are valid until the end of December of this year if they expire after March 1, 2020.
“We affirm in the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship our absolute commitment to all segments of society, including citizens, residents, and visitors, and our willingness to receive their inquiries through the communication channels announced on the official website of the authority.”
The UAE government has been constantly introducing measures to ensure the continuity of both business and lives as the country combats cases of coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday announced three more fatalities from the virus and 172 new recoveries, taking the total to 852 recoveries. No new cases were announced.
The government has opened 14 drive-through testing facilities in order to facilitate early detection of the virus. According to the health authorities, up to 7,100 people can be tested every day through these facilities.
Clinical trials of plasma therapy for the treatment have also begun in the country as its citizens continue to stay at home and practice social distancing.
