BLME Limelight: Episode 1 – Husain Baomar, CEO of SainBags

Environmental conservation is a pressing issue, and Mohammed Husain Baomar, CEO of SainBags is a front runner in Oman’s sustainability development initiative. This environmental juggernaut has founded Oman based SainBags under the company group of Husain Baomar Business Projects, whose mission is to provide an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags. With an innate concern for the environment, and having grown tired of the waste created by plastic bags, Husain decided there has to be a better way, and hence – along with his entrepreneurial partner Shradha Rungta, founded SainBags in January 2018.
The fear that “with the economy being rediscovered the environment could be abandoned”, gave rise to a determination to fill the gap for organic, fully compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable bags, promoting a greener and more eco-friendly future. SainBags has established a green niche in an otherwise uncaring market.
“The company’s PR tagline ‘100% biodegradable bags will be hitting the country, coming from Oman,’ makes me proud for my country. Oman has been depending on imports from other countries, but now the GCC will be importing this (SainBags) from Oman,” says Husain Baomar.
Having distributed over 90 million bags worldwide, Baomar is making the world a better place, one bag at a time.
