Oman Forum 2019 to focus on “Promoting National Talent and Entrepreneurship development”

Ahli Bank and National Training Institute (NTI) have signed up as partners for Oman Forum 2019, a one-of-its-kind platform that will deliberate on “Promoting National Talent and Entrepreneurship Development,” at Crowne Plaza, Qurum on December 23.
Oman Forum is an annual Arabic conclave organised by the leading Arabic business magazine Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA), published by United Media Services (UMS), that brings together a broad spectrum of stakeholders, for an engaging and live public discussion on topics concerning Oman’s economy. Over the past six editions, the Forum, has deliberated on a wide gamut of issues such as Building National Talent, Sustainability of SMEs and Job creation and so on.
The 2019 Forum will comprise two panel sessions. The first panel session will deliberate on “Promoting National Talent,” The session will look at innovative HR practices, strategic employee engagement and other initiatives that will contribute to Oman’s future by investing in talent which is the real wealth of the nation and also pave the way for job creation. The second panel on ‘‘Entrepreneurship Development,’’ will look at some of the national initiatives and training to spur entrepreneurship development including SAS programme by ITA that are aimed at providing the foundation and widening the horizons for the entrepreneurs and creation of an ecosystem to grow their dreams.

Says Alpana Roy, Executive Vice President, United Media Services, the publisher of AIWA, “The 7th edition of Oman Forum will make a strong pitch for developing the skills of Omani youth to meet the increasing demands of the job market, while looking at some of the national initiatives and training to spur entrepreneurship development.”
Eminent panelists including top corporate leaders, policymakers and members of Omani civil society will chart the growth, provide concrete solutions to queries, concerns faced by private and public sector entities in promoting national talent development and entrepreneurship initiatives.
