NBO employees complete project management workshop
National Bank of Oman’s Academy of Excellence, the training arm of the Bank, has run a three day course on “Project Management”

National Bank of Oman’s Academy of Excellence, the training arm of the Bank, has run a three day course on “Project Management”. In completing the programme, interested participants can now further develop their career by sitting and passing the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) exam, to become Certified Associate Project Managers, an internationally recognized certification.
As a part of NBO Academy of Excellence’s initiative to offer training interventions aligned with the strategic objectives and emerging needs of the bank, the Project Management programme was specifically designed to help project managers to enhance their abilities to professionally manage projects. This included learning about essential skills for a project manager, determining a stakeholder strategy, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, as well as resolving conflicts and issues.
Commenting on the Project Management programme, Mr. Nasser Al Hajri, General Manager, Chief Human Resource Officer and Head of Corporate Affairs of NBO, said: “NBO Academy of Excellence is always looking at developing the knowledge of our employees with tailor-made interventions and solutions. This bespoke and customised Project Management course is evidence of this. We aim to continue refining and honing the skills of our people, so that our matchless offering through our people distinguishes us from the competitors. In a banking industry characterised by high competition and generic products, quality and excellence in service and delivery will stand out as the most critical differentiator. We are aligning closely with the business and all functions not only to deliver excellent products but rather build a sustainable customer-centric service culture.”
The Bank’s Academy of Excellence has been consistently delivering a diverse mix of high-quality technical and soft-skill courses aimed at various divisions and levels, and is spearheading the Bank’s transformation journey.
