MoHERI Invites Nomination Applications For Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting 2022
Muscat: With a clear target of strengthening research capacity in Oman and supporting the exchange of knowledge, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI) has opened applications for researchers who are interested to be nominated for the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting that will take place in Lindau between June 26 to July 1, 2022.
Being an academic partner of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings since 2015, MoHERI reflects its efforts towards research capacity building and knowledge transfer. For the fifth consecutive year, MoHERI will supervise the nomination of 3 young researchers to participate in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. An independent committee reviews applications and nominates 3 young researchers to Lindau Organization, which can accept all of them, accept some of them or even, reject all of them.
Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting 2022, which is the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, will be dedicated to the chemistry field.
The meeting is a valuable opportunity for young scientists to interact with around 70 Nobel Laureates as an audience of their lectures, panel discussions and small-size discussion sessions. This event will attract about 600 young scientists from over 80 countries.
The opportunity to join the annual gathering of Nobel Laureates at Lindau is provided exclusively to outstanding undergraduates, Master and PhD students, and post-doc researchers in the field of chemistry.
Eligible candidates must be not be older than 35 years old, showing a genuine interest in science and research, show strong commitment to their principal field of studies and interdisciplinary work, receive strong support of their application by their academic advisor and/or by internationally renowned scientists, not had participated in previous Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, and commit themselves to being present for the full duration of the meeting.

Interested applicants need to submit the a detailed CV, at least one detailed letter of recommendation, an official record of their distinct academic achievements (academic transcript, list of publications, awards, …etc.), and short personal statement justifying their nomination to participate in the meeting on MoHERI portal ( http://www.trc.gov.om/ ) no later than 2pm on October 17, 2021.
