Majan University College: Building Partnerships Through Quality Education
Majan University College partners with the University of Bradford, UK to offer Oman’s first Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme
Research and innovation are the primary drivers of value creation in a knowledge-based economy. This is increasingly evident in the number of senior executives in the public and private sectors who hold research qualifications such as PhD and DBA. During the last decade, a doctorate has become a desirable qualification for appointments to senior positions in organisations.
There is a pressing need for capacity building through research qualifications and creating in-country value by offering world-class doctoral programmes in the Sultanate. To address this need, Majan University College (MUC) has partnered with the University of Bradford, UK to offer its highly-regarded Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) through a tailored delivery model that allows the students to pursue a DBA without relocating out of Oman and while pursuing their career.

Only 108 Business Schools in the world hold the triple-crown accreditation of AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA – and the University of Bradford’s School of Management is one of them.
The collaboration with the University of Bradford continues MUC’s successful history of academic partnerships with British institutions such as the University of Leeds, the University of Glasgow, and the University of Bedfordshire so that their programmes can be offered in the Sultanate.
The DBA Programme is offered through MUC’s Postgraduate Centre, which has served working professionals seeking higher academic qualifications since September 2004. Over the last 18 years, the College has acquired strong institutional awareness of the needs, aspirations, and constraints of those combining a busy career with academic study.
This familiarity with the needs of postgraduate students has informed the DBA delivery model, combining the best the University of Bradford has to offer with personalised and accessible academic support from Majan University College staff.
The first cohort will begin the programme in September 2022, emphasising once again the aptness of MUC’s slogan ‘Learn. Achieve. Inspire.’
