ITA and Ernest & Young join hands to train IT graduates
As part of its ongoing efforts to nurture Omani IT capabilities, the Information Technology Authority signed yesterday morning, a memorandum of understanding with the Ernest & Young (EY) to provide on job IT training for 15 Omani IT graduates.

As part of its ongoing efforts to nurture Omani IT capabilities, the Information Technology Authority signed yesterday morning, a memorandum of understanding with the Ernest & Young (EY) to provide on job IT training for 15 Omani IT graduates. Dr. Salim Bin Sultan Alruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, and Wasim Khan, COO, EY MENA Advisory at Ernest & Young, signed the MOU.
The aim of this MOU is to establish a general framework of cooperation between ITA and EY in identifying, developing and engaging available and qualified Omani IT competencies for potential employment with EY. By this MOU, ITA and EY will endeavor to Identify talented and qualified Omani IT resources for EY to consider for employment within its MENA region. It will also Train and enhance IT capabilities of the employed Omani IT professionals through classroom training as part of EY’s on-going Advisory Consultant Program (ACP).
This MOU will Provide the opportunity for the Omani IT talents to work on IT engagements of EY in Oman and across MENA as well as working on IT projects related to the Information Technology Authority under a standard Engagement Agreement.
It is worth mentioning that ITA will announce the registration for the training opportunities in the coming period to those who are interested to join this program through its official social media channels.
