‘The Myriad Muscat’, first-of-its-kind all-women, students living complex officially launched

‘The Myriad Muscat’ was officially launched during a ceremony held under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Rawya Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of Higher Education.
The property is a joint development of Sandan Development, Shaksy Group and Mubbadrah and will be operated by The Myriad; the Middle East, Asia and Africa partner of Asset Campus International, the largest student-housing firm globally with its headquarters in the United States of America. The Myriad, Muscat is currently under construction with Shaksy Engineering Services as the appointed main contractor. The project today has reached 35% completion.
The first of its kind, all ladies, off-campus residential and retail complex for students and trainees, the project secured an OMR 20mn facility from Muzn Islamic Banking, the Islamic Banking Window of National Bank of Oman (NBO).
Sayyidah Rawan Ahmed Al Said, Chairperson of NBO, HE Mohammed Bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Chairman of Sandan Development, Honourable Salaam Al Shaksy Chairman of The Shaksy Group, Hilal Al Busaidi Chief Executive Officer of Mubbadrah Holding Company, were also present at the launch ceremony.
Also present was Vikram Rao, Chief Executive Officer of The Myriad and Strategic Housing Group (SHG), a specialised housing project development and operations management firm, bringing this community living project to the Sultanate.

Sayyidah Rawan, Chairperson of NBO, spoke about the bank’s commitment to working with public and private sector partners to empower women from all walks and spheres of life.
“We realise that innovation and women empowerment is rarely discussed in the same context, but we are firm believers this has to change as each has a paramount impact on socio-economic development. ‘The Myriad, Muscat’ is the first-of-its-kind women-dedicated complex, which will drive social norm change and create economic resilience for women for generations to come,” she said.
Located close to Sultan Qaboos University along the Muscat Expressway, The Myriad has been designed to specifications required from the local authorities and to ensure safety and comfort for the 2,500 residents and visitors alike.
Apart from, fully furnished rooms with en-suite facilities that include both single and multi-occupancy options, The Myriad has very cleverly designed common areas that include trendy shared lounges and modern kitchens, which have been customised to cater to the needs and comforts of the residents.
The complex also has a two-floor retail space that will house a supermarket and other retail stores and also offer leisure facilities such as women-only fitness centre, food and beverage choices and a training centre. Two levels of basement parking will provide ample parking space for residents and visitors alike.
