Sohar International Supports ‘Invest Oman’ Initiative As Main Partner
Committed to the socio-economic progress of the nation, Sohar International has extended its support as the main partner for the ‘Invest Oman’ hall that has been initiated and developed by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP).
The hall was inaugurated on 27 February 2023 at the Civil Aviation Authority under the patronage of HE Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance in the presence of dignitaries and a large number of local and foreign investors as well as a number of the Bank’s senior representatives.
In recognition of its partnership and its unwavering dedication to promoting investments in Oman, Sohar International was honoured with an award during the inauguration ceremony which was received by Sohar International’s Chief Retail Banking Officer – Mr. Khalil Salim Al Hedaifi.
Commenting on the bank’s extended support to the initiative, Mr. Ahmed Al Musalmi, Chief Executive Officer of Sohar International, said: “Invest in Oman and Sohar International share a common strategy that is geared at taking concerted efforts to further reaffirm the Sultanate’s position as a hub for investments. Closely aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and the nation’s revenue diversification agenda, the bank has contributed towards several initiatives that seek to drive foreign direct investments into the country.
“With Oman’s progressive economy, the country is set on a positive trajectory and has recorded sustained growth across diverse industries. This has opened new prospects for investments of various scales in the country which can not only make the most of the country’s strategic location, robust infrastructure, and abundant resources but also harness the power of its local talents and its dynamic banking system.”
The ‘Invest Oman’ hall serves as a dynamic and comprehensive ‘one-stop shop’, designed to cater to the needs of primarily foreign and local investors seeking to explore and capitalize on investment opportunities in Oman.
With its wide array of services and resources, the hall is committed to showcasing the diverse range of investment possibilities, incentives, and industrial, free, and economic zones available in the Sultanate. As main partners, Sohar International has set up a dedicated kiosk at the ‘Invest Oman’ hall, staffed by knowledgeable and experienced professionals capable of providing financial advisory and services to potential investors.
