$50mn bus manufacturing plant to come up in Salalah
Salalah Free Zone (SFZ) has signed a new usufruct agreement for manufacturing 1,500 buses annually with an investment of $50 million. The construction of the factory is expected to commence during the third quarter of 2020 on a total area of 50,000 square metre. The project will provide 350 direct job opportunities to citizens. The factory is being built to export 70 per cent of the buses to the GCC States, Yemen, African countries and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The new agreement comes within the efforts of Salalah Free Zone for creation of strategic partnership and international business channels that help achieve the vision of SFZ to lead in the field of industrial quality and logistic services.
