Oman Export Week 2019: Taking Oman to the world
Oman Export Week 2019 (OEW19) will begin tomorrow (Oct. 27-Oct.31)) at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The event is being held under the patronage of HE Ahmed al Dheeb, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and has been organised by Ithraa, in partnership with SV Pittie Sohar Textiles and Asyad.
OEW19 provides the ideal platform for current exporters to expand their foothold in the exports market apart from helping Omani businesses looking for an opening into the export markets.
“OEW19 has been carefully crafted to focus on the opportunities and trends that are redefining what it means to be an exporter in today’s competitive global market. It’s all about encouraging more Omani businesses to take the first steps towards going global,” said Nasima al Balushi, Ithraa’s Director General of Investment & Exports.

“From car batteries, fragrances, furniture and fibre optic cables to footwear, marble, ceramics, honey products, confectionery and more, every day Omani exporters are succeeding in international markets. However, many more possibilities await. In fact, there’s probably no topic more important to an Omani CEO today than how they grow their business, and if you talk about where growth is going to come from in the next decade, it’s going to be in harnessing overseas opportunities, she added.
The five-day workshops will see international and local experts guiding over 500 registered participants over a range of topics that include finding the right outlets into international markets to understanding product design and packaging. Topics such as digital marketing and m-commerce that are very relevant in today’s competitive world that is social media-driven will also be covered.
