KR to build Eshraqa e-Learning Center at International Maritime College Oman

Eshraqa, the social development arm of Khimji Ramdas (KR) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Maritime College Oman (IMCO) to set up the Eshraqa e-Learning Center. The project, which will be completed in 2020, commemorates the 50th National Day in conjunction with 150 outstanding years of growth for Khimji Ramdas in the Sultanate.
The MoU was signed by Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas and Dr. Hilal Al Hadhrami, Dean, International Maritime College Oman (IMCO) and was witnessed by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said during the inauguration of Oman CSR Forum.
The project marks Eshraqa’s long-term commitment towards the improvement of the Education sector in Oman. The Eshraqa e-Learning Center at IMCO will serve as a physical site that provides round the clock online access to digitized study material such as books, journals and publications which allow students to gain further benefits from their academic experience.
Commenting on the relevance of education and the role of Eshraqa in the uplifting of this vital sector, Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas said, “On the wonderful occasion of the 50th National Day, we not only celebrate the reign and visionary forethought of our beloved leader, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said but we also stand in recognition of his astute words – we live in an era of science and continue to witness immense growth within all arenas. This progress is reflective of an ever-developing strong educative system and we aim to continually add value to it. Eshraqa strives to facilitate every avenue that can serve as a vehicle for academic and skill enhancement. The Eshraqa e-Learning Center at IMCO will provide students with comprehensive study material further to the daily lectures by tutors. We wish the aspiring stars of our nation; prosperity and success in all they set out to achieve.”
