Bloom Holding unveils ‘smart building platform’ at GITEX

Bloom Holding has announced cutting-edge smart solutions at GITEX Dubai as part of its plans to develop sustainable communities.
The UAE’s leading real estate development company is implementing an innovative ‘smart building’ platform that will enable to increase a building’s operational efficiency and optimize overall energy consumption, according to a press release issued recently.
The platform, which is Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based, will enable Bloom Holding, through its facilities management arm, b.fm, to remotely monitor and control property assets. According to the release, this will generate a wealth of information that brings immense value to owners and tenants and the property management team, b.fm who service them. This also means increased benefits for owners and tenants such as more customised options, reduced utility bills, more seamless maintenance service and a safer environment to live and work in.
According to Jeremy Lester, Acting CEO of Bloom Holding, this initiative is in line with the company’s objectives to develop sustainable communities that transform the way customers experience their workspaces and homes through technologies that support more energy-efficient environments and reduced energy consumption.

Lester said: “Integrating smart technologies into our developments will enable us to bring immense value to our owners and tenants. Our residential and business customers and tenants will enjoy a more personalised experience, improved safety standards, and the benefits of saving on utility consumption and tapping into effective, real-time data that help drive their lives and business forward.”
Etisalat Smart Building Solutions and other experts have collaborated with Bloom Holding to develop these smart technologies, which will be integrated into six of the company’s buildings as the first phase of implementation.
The company’s future real estate developments will incorporate the platform at the design stage, in expectation of 5G network introduction in future, which will throw open the door for more technology-enabled management solutions in the future.
