Oman reports 33 new Covid-19 cases, total rises to 331
The Ministry of Health on Monday announced the registration of 33 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, which brings the total number of registered cases in the Sultanate to 331, including two deaths.
Region-wise, Muscat had 257 cases followed by Al Dhakilyah (23 cases), North Batinah (21), South Batinah (15 ), Dhofar (8 cases), Al Dhahirah (3), Musandam ( 2 cases), South Sharqiyah and Buraimi (1 each).
On Saturday, MOH reported the second death from Covid-19 of a 72-year-old citizen who contracted the disease earlier. Oman reported its first Covid-19 -related death, a 72-year-old citizen, on March 31. Both the deaths have been reported from Muscat. 61 cases have recovered so far.
