Middle East College concludes ‘3rd Media Gathering’
The Middle East College organised 3rd Media Gathering on Monday. It was inaugurated by Dr Kaltham al Zadjali, an expert at the Public Authority for Radio and Television, in the presence of some eminent people from the media field.
The Middle East College organised 3rd Media Gathering on Monday. It was inaugurated by Dr Kaltham al Zadjali, an expert at the Public Authority for Radio and Television, in the presence of some eminent people from the media field.
Ali bin Hassan al Ajmi, director of the local news section of the Public Authority for Radio and Television, Dr Abdullah al Ruba’ei, Presenter of English News at the Public Authority for Radio and Television, and Mohammed al Mukhaini, Programme Presenter at the Public Authority for Radio and Television were also present.
The gathering aimed to bring forward talented youth in the media field and provide them with suitable opportunities. The presenter competition organised by the College had more than 22 participants and included other competitions such as: Best Press release competition, Best Photograph competition, Stand-up Comedy and a Poetry Session, to name a few.
In the words of Ali bin Hassan al Ajmi, Director of the local news section of the Public Authority for Radio and Television, “There are a lot of talented youth in the media field who need to be invested in a very wise way, throughout the different media centres and institutions in the Sultanate.
Having such gatherings and competitions is great as they play a vital role in providing chances to the youth”.
It is worth mentioning that MEC takes care of the talented students through the different activities and clubs in the college like the Media Club, Art Club, Photography Club and Electronic Engineering Club, to name a few.
