150 firms showcase products at energy & water expo
Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi officially opened the second Oman Energy & Water Exhibition and Conference on Monday at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi officially opened the second Oman Energy & Water Exhibition and Conference on Monday at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
The conference is being held to assure quality knowledge-sharing forum along with an appropriate essence of business opportunities to benefit the participating organisations.
The inaugural session witnessed signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Nama Group .
Mohamed bin Abdullah al Mahrouqi, Chairman of the Public Authority for Electricity & Water (PAEW) addressed the inaugural session, which was followed by keynote speech by Fabio Scacciavillani, chief economist, Oman Investment Fund.
At the inauguration of the OWES conference, undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment & Climate Affairs, Najeeb Ali Al-Rawas addressed the exclusive gathering of top government officials, diplomatic corps members, and CEOs of leading power and water and waste management companies with his welcome speech.
High-level waste management experts representing the environment ministries of Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE formed part of the inaugural session.
Close to 150 local and international power and water and waste management companies from 15 countries are showcasing various products, technologies and services related to the sectors. Majority of the participating companies are from UK, France, Germany, Iran, Italy and Malaysia, which have taken space through pavilions.
