At an exclusive ceremony held in the presence of Sayyida Rawan bin Ahmed Al Said, Director at National bank of Oman, the bank’s 17 female customers were named the winners with each receiving OMR5,000 cash prize.
The initiative reflects the bank’s long-standing commitment towards supporting women empowerment in the Sultanate in line with the vision and directive of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Commenting on the occasion, John Chang, General Manager- Chief Retail Banking Officer, said: “The Al Kanz special draw for women is a fitting tribute to the Sultanate’s support behind women’s empowerment. It is a great way to celebrate women in the country and the role they’ve played in advancing Oman’s economic growth and development. As a leading financial services organization in the Sultanate, we consider it our responsibility to create awareness about financial independence among women through regular savings.”
Through schemes like Al Kanz, National Bank of Oman encourages customers to become more financially responsible and save on a regular basis. The first savings scheme in Oman to offer customers the opportunity to become a millionaire, Al Kanz also offers customers the chance to win cash prizes throughout the year.
The overwhelming success of NBO Al Kanz over the past few years has encouraged the Bank to constantly improve on the Al Kanz campaign, which currently offers customers even more chances and opportunities to win in unique ways. Customers that have maintained a minimum monthly average balance of RO 100 or above are eligible to participate in the monthly prize draws. The earlier a customer deposits and the longer they retain their deposits, the higher the chances of winning the Monthly and Grand Prize Draws.
The Al Kanz Savings Scheme has rewarded many winners over the years and continues to be one of the most rewarding schemes in the market.
