Bank Muscat’s Tadhamun programme to support 168 families in 2020
In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, has launched the 7th edition of its annual Tadhamun programme in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Sawa Nabni.
It is part of the bank’s CSR programme and supports social welfare families across the Sultanate with essential household appliances. The Tadhamun programme mainly focuses on the distribution of essential home appliances, including air-conditioners and refrigerators, to beneficiary families. A Tadhamun team is currently distributing 960 home appliances to 168 beneficiary families in different governorates of the Sultanate. This year’s programme is being conducted after taking precautionary measures for social distancing to ensure the safety of all participants.
Talib Saif Al Makhmari, Manager, Community & Media Relations, Bank Muscat, said: “The Bank works closely with local communities to improve living standards in a manner that complements national developmental goals. Bank Muscat is delighted to partner with the Ministry of Social Development and Sawa Nabni to support deserving families for the seventh consecutive year. As a pioneer of CSR activities in Oman, Bank Muscat has consistently demonstrated its desire to create sustainable, positive changes in communities by investing in their welfare and equipping them for a better life.”
The Tadhamun programme has assisted over 1,100 social welfare families over the past few years. The CSR and sustainability strategy pursued by Bank Muscat focuses on delivering long-term benefits to the community and the nation. The Green Sports initiative has proven to be a thoroughly successful model for engaging the local community. The support to develop modern sports infrastructure across the Sultanate complements the government efforts in building a sporting nation. Making significant contributions to sustainable development, the unique Green Sports CSR initiative aimed at promoting Oman as a sporting nation by greening and developing football fields across the country.
The bank’s CSR programmes draw from the values of leadership and partnership to create a positive impact on Omani society. As the bank progresses on the path of sustainable development, new opportunities are explored continuously. In line with the corporate ethos, the bank’s employees are engaged in creating opportunities to help the community through various initiatives.
