Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, as part of its ‘Let’s Do More’ vision and commitment to partnership in facilitating banking services in remote areas, has deployed three more state-of-the-art mobile ATM/CDM vans. Responding to the increasing demand for mobile banking services across the Sultanate, the bank presently has the largest network of five full function ATM/CDM vans in Oman.
Ensuring doorstep banking to customers across all regions, the services available at the mobile ATM/CDM vans include cash withdrawal, cash deposit, cheque deposit, balance enquiry and mini statement. Fund transfer facility is also available to any Bank Muscat account as well as other bank accounts. Customers can also use the mobile ATM/CDM for speed transfer to India; utility bill and school fee payments; credit card payments; mobile top-ups; cheque book request and PIN change.
Amjad Al Lawati, AGM – Cards & eBanking, said: “Moving along with the times, Bank Muscat ensures world class banking services for citizens and residents in all regions, especially remote areas where development activities are taking place. Product innovation and improved level of service by Bank Muscat is the key to making a difference in banking excellence. Marked by convenience and security, the mobile ATM/CDM facilitates essential banking transactions, serving as a boon for people in far-flung areas.”
In 2009, Bank Muscat launched the first mobile ATM truck in Oman to provide banking services in remote parts of the country. Government and private organisations in far flung areas utilise the mobile ATM services to facilitate cash withdrawal by employees on salary days. During national celebrations and festivals like Muscat Festival and Salalah Festival, the mobile ATM truck is conspicuous with its presence, serving the banking requirements of citizens and visitors. Notably, the mobile ATM rendered valuable services during cyclone Phet.
With the largest electronic channel network in Oman, innovations adopted by Bank Muscat are characteristic of the network of ATMs and CDMs, mobile banking, internet banking, point of sales (PoS) machines and the Call Centre offering 24/7 banking service.
Ensuring accessibility across the country, the largest network of ATM/CDMs form a pillar of customer service. Being a member of OmanSwitch and GCCNet, customers from any bank in Oman, the GCC countries and from around the world can use Bank Muscat ATMs for their cash requirements.
Reinforcing customer service and enhancing convenience, the bank has introduced state-of-the-art integrated ATM/CDM machines in select branches and offsite locations across the Sultanate. Equipped with cutting edge technology, the integrated machines have higher capacity and enhanced capability of cash deposit, withdrawal and bank transactions integrated in one unit, thus adding to customer convenience.
With the largest network of 137 branches, ATMs, CDMs and full function machines spread across Oman, as well as mobile banking and internet banking, Bank Muscat has emerged as the bank of first choice in the Sultanate. Contributing to sustainable development, the prime objective of the bank is to serve all customer segments across the Sultanate.
Amjad Al Lawati added: “In step with the dynamic ‘Let’s Do More’ vision, the focus of Bank Muscat is clear – create a sustainable financial platform for society and business and thereby contribute to the Sultanate’s economic growth.”
