Gulnara Agamova Spotlights Moscow’s Creative Economy and Gaming Industry at SPIEF 2025
Ms. Gulnara Agamova, Deputy Minister of the Moscow Government and Director General of the Moscow Creative Industries Agency, affirmed at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that digital games are among the fastest-growing industries globally.
Speaking at a press conference with international media, Agamova underscored the role of creative industries as powerful catalysts for economic growth and future-oriented development. She emphasized their capacity to generate employment by transforming individual passions into viable business ventures. Agamova specifically noted the remarkable growth of Moscow’s video game industry, which is being fueled by international partnerships, steadily positioning the city as a vibrant hub for professional creative endeavors.
Agamova concluded her remarks by extending an invitation for collaboration: “Moscow is open to collaboration with the Arab world in these fields. There are tremendous opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint investment in the creative economy. Our mission is to empower talent and turn their passion into real, sustainable business ventures.”
Since August 2021, Gulnara Agamova has led the Creative Industries Agency under the Moscow Government. This agency plays a crucial role in supporting ten core sectors, including visual arts, music, publishing, cinema, architecture, design, and fashion. Its core mission is to empower entrepreneurs in creative fields through a comprehensive approach that includes financial and non-financial support, infrastructure development, and the encouragement of cultural investment.
Among its significant achievements, the agency has:
- Improved service quality for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Implemented projects that enhance the efficiency of public budgetary institutions.
- Promoted Moscow’s creative industries globally across ten key domains: arts, music, performing arts, publishing, computer games, architecture, design, fashion, advertising, and cinema.
The agency continues to actively encourage creative individuals to launch their own businesses and generate income from their passions, offering financial assistance, international promotion, valuable insights, and enabling infrastructure.
