IN PICTURES: HM The Sultan Visits Belgian Port of Antwerp
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by King Phillippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, visited the building of the Port of Antwerp today, as part of His Majesty’s state visit to the Kingdom of Belgium
Oman News Agency: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by King Phillippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, visited the building of the Port of Antwerp today, as part of His Majesty’s state visit to the Kingdom of Belgium.

Upon his arrival at the facility, His Majesty the Sultan was received by the Governor and Mayor of Antwerp, the CEO of the port and some Belgian officials.

During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on the importance of the port, its strategic location and future plans.
The meeting touched on areas of cooperation in the sectors of renewable energy, green hydrogen and liquefied natural gas transportation, as well as ways of consolidating partnership in the ports and logistics sector.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan and the King signed the Visitors Book.

After that, a photo was taken for His Majesty the Sultan, the King, the official delegation from both sides, and a number of officials and CEOs.

At the end of the visit, the administration of Antwerp Port presented His Majesty the Sultan with a commemorative gift. On his turn, His Majesty presented them with a ship model as a commemorative gift.
