Musandam To Witness Large Investments & Projects In Near Future
Muscat: The Wali of Khasab, Dr Saeed bin Humaid al Harthy, has stated that the Governorate of Musandam is going to be a hotbed for investments in the years to come with RO 3.5 million worth of investments for development projects, allocated this year already.
The investments and development projects are numerous and to name a few, some of them include: a park to be established by Asas Company, a hotel on the beach of Bassa and in the near future, work will commence on Omran’s end to start a zipline from the top of the mountain to the sea.
Mohammed al Busaidi, chairman of Omran, has said that the zip-line will be a part of the first phase of development and cover a distance of 1500 meters. The zip-line will start from Atana Khasab Hotel, and will be implemented in the coming days. Other projects in the pipeline include a cable car.
The government has also launched a bid for amphibious aircraft, capable of seating no more than 20 passengers, which will serve tourists in Musandam, Masirah, Al Hallaniyat Islands, Barr al Hakman, and Jebel al Akhdar.
