Tourism Oman Targets Nearly 12 Million Tourists by 2040

Muscat: Oman Tourism Development Company (OTDC) which is a part of the Omran Group, serves as the operational arm of the government for the tourism sector, celebrated the launch of “Visitoman.om”, the first integrated digital services platform for the trade and tourism sector.
The platform was launched by OTDC in tandem with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. The digital nature of the platform is supposed to keep it future proof and help contribute greatly in keeping interested parties, both in and out of Oman, with all necessary assistance to visit and participate in trade in Oman as envisioned by National Tourism Strategy 2040.
Gracing the occasion, The Minister of Heritage and Tourism – Mr Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi commented, “The ‘Visitoman.om’ is an ambitious promotion initiative aiming to make Oman one of the competitive destinations by virtue of its competitive advantages. The platform will digitise the tourism chain and link travel & tourism”
