Oman Extends Night Closure Of All Commercial Activities Until April 3

Muscat: The Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the Coronavirus pandemic has announced that it will extend the night closure of commercial activities until April 3, 2021.
As per the new decision, all commercial activities – excluding fuel stations, private health institutions and pharmacies, food and shop delivery services, and shops selling and repairing tires inside fuel stations – must remain shut from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am until Saturday, April 3, 2021.
The Supreme Committee has also decided to reduce the number of employees attending the workplace in government and other public establishments to 70 per cent of the total number of employees starting from Sunday, March 21 until Thursday, April 1.
The Committee also has decided to ban all direct flights from the United Kingdom, and for transit passengers who have traveled through the UK in the last 14 days with an exception for Omani nationals.
