Ooredoo Nationwide Rollout of 5G Home Internet Plan on Schedule
Data experience leaders, Ooredoo, are rolling out even more 5G Home Internet locations, to reach more homes across Oman.
Launched earlier this year, it is already available in selected areas across Muscat, Al Batinah, Al Wusta, Ash Sharqiyah, Ad Dakhliyah. Ad Dhahriah, and Dhofar, and more areas are being added regularly. Starting at RO28 per month, customers can experience the state-of-the-art technology along with a massive 1 TB of data plus a free plug-and-play 5G modem for those signing up for 24 months. Offering lower latencies, faster downloads, and supporting more connected devices than ever before, Ooredoo’s 5G is bringing the future to today.
Feras bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, Director of Branding and Communications at Ooredoo, said, “Consumers in Oman are always hungry for the latest technologies that will enrich their digital lives and 5G is designed to do exactly that. More than just enhancing gaming, video, downloading to streaming, it will open the door to so much more. It’s our aim to help as many people as possible enjoy the internet and we are continually working on expanding our network to ensure that happens, while placing Oman firmly in the global race towards digital innovation.”
As part of its ambitious roadmap, Ooredoo plans to construct and install many more 5G stations over the next five years. With the potential to benefit everything from entertainment and education, to scientific research and healthcare, 5G promises to help us all lead smarter lives.
To find out if their area is currently covered, customers can check the coverage map on the website or visit their nearest Ooredoo store.
