Axa Gulf Opens the Door to Free 24/7 Virtual Health Consultation for All Its Health & Retail Customers

In the goal of inspiring citizens to lead a healthier life, AXA Gulf, one of the biggest multinational insurers in the GCC, has expanded its 24/7 interactive healthcare service – AXA Teleconsultation – to both its insurance and retail clients throughout the Gulf area at this period of crisis.
AXA Teleconsultation provides its respective customers free 24-hour access to virtual health consultation at this period of crisis to ensure that their path to healthcare stays uninterrupted as they stay healthy, and also to help the healthcare system sustain productive efficiency by alleviating burden on hospitals and clinics at a period when they are concentrating on resolving the effects of Covid-19.
AXA Teleconsultation is a mobile real-time facility providing 24/7 audio and video consultation with registered general practitioners and family doctors, as well as medical advice and fitness coaching by accredited nutritionists. In an attempt to allow consumers to escape crowded healthcare facilities and remain at home to ensure their wellbeing while preserving their well-being, AXA Gulf not only provides AXA Teleconsultation to all its health consumers, but also to all its other non-health retail customers in the Gulf area. In fact, there are a variety of other incentives that AXA aims to offer by AXA Teleconsultation, including:
- 24/7 access to licensed general practitioners and family medicine doctors
- Teleconsultation on all medical conditions operated under telehealth guidelines
- Medications prescription, including OTC, antibiotics and chronic medications refill
- Appointment booking at the nearest provider (if urgently needed)
- Nutritional guidance and wellness coaching by nutritionists
Dr. Sherif A. Mahmoud, Head of Employee Benefits Services & Retention at AXA Gulf, commented,
“The health and safety of our customers is our utmost priority. As a progressive insurer we are committed to being more than a payer of claims and are focused on developing long-term trusted partnerships with our customers. We also want to assure you that even during these challenging circumstances, AXA remains committed in delivering the best-in-class service to look after your health and wellbeing. We want to empower people and ensure their safety, and by providing this service we can help keep them away from crowded areas. We understand that many of our customers will have concerns about visiting a healthcare facility during this difficult period, and consequently, we are giving all our health and non-health retail customers free access to AXA Teleconsultation.”
To enter AXA Teleconsultation, all customers need to dial the toll-free number from the comfort of their homes, pick their desired location, and “proceed.” AXA stands squarely behind the actions of the public authorities and advises all consumers to obey the government’s guidance and recommendations in an attempt to stay secure.
