As we enter the eleventeenth (who knows what day is it, at this point, anyway!) day of lockdown, many of us have now realised that cabin fever is actually a thing. The lockdown is the only measure that seems to be working to help flatten the Coronavirus curve and therefore it is very important that we all continue to persevere and stay at home in order to stay safe and save lives.

This, of course, means that we miss out on all our favourite weekend activities and the outside world. But here are a few ways you can bring the outside world in and satisfy our travel cravings.

DUBAI SIGHTS & SOUNDS
Let’s begin with the Homebase first. Fancy seeing your favourite spots in the city? Then Dubai360 is your answer. Launched in 2015, Dubai360 is the perfect way to get a view of the city’s sweeping panoramas, malls, cultural hotspots and more. Some of the sites include the Dubai Museum, the narrow lanes of Al Fahidi Historical District where visitors can soak up history and heritage of the city. You can visit the Al Naif Museum was once the headquarters of the Dubai Police Force, serving as the base of Dubai’s very first police station.

FRANCE (LOUVRE PARIS)
Louvre is every art lover’s pilgrimage site. This is where da Vinci’s Mona Lisa lives Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa lives along with a collection of items that tell the story of art in its myriad forms through the ages. Arguably the world’s greatest art museum, which even featured in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s pop video, is also the world’s most visited museum. Though the museum is closed temporarily, you can still check out virtual tours of the Egyptian antiquities collection, remains of the Louvre’s moat and the Galerie Apollon.

ITALY (SISTINE CHAPEL)
Italy needs all the love it can get right. Pope Francis recently delivered the Urbi et Orbi (to the city and the world) to more than 11 million viewers as he stood on an empty Saint Peter’s Square. The Pope’s blessing is only usually reserved for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. A country that has been brought to a standstill is home to the breath-taking Sistine Chapel. And if you have not seen it yet, here’s your chance to tour some of the interior artworks, including its renowned ceiling and Michelangelo’s ‘The Last Judgment.’
