National Detergent Company included in MSM Industrial Index

National Detergent Company (NDC), one of Sultanate’s oldest and most respected companies, has been selected to be included in the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) Industrial Index.
The company has been chosen on account of being one of the best-performing ones in terms of profitability, stock liquidity and market capitalisation and recently posted a 20% increase in comprehensive profit in 2018 over 2017, according to a press release.
Commenting on the success of NDC, William Hunt, who was appointed as the company’s CEO last year, was quoted as saying, “We are delighted to be listed in the MSM Industrial Index. We thank our customers, trade partners, suppliers and shareholders for their ongoing support.”
NDC came into being in the year 1981 and has since then been at the forefront of the FMCG sector. It has the distinction of being the first ISO 9001 certified soap and detergent company in the region and was re-certified as ISO 9001-2000 in 2000 and ISO 9001-2008 in 2005. It manufactures and distributes an exhaustive range of leading brands in detergent powders, liquid detergents, soaps, shampoos, allied laundry aids and other household and industrial cleaners.
The main brands include Bahar (voted Superbrand) No.1, Site, Sur, Ayam, Star, Luv, Gentil, Sahar, Farah, Spark, Lamia, D’zire and Nada. The company recently introduced Bahar Enzymatic Liquid Gel for customers looking for the best Bahar cleaning power in the convenience of a liquid.
