Flexibility has become the keyword for many millennials these days. Among the various spheres of their life where flexibility plays an important role is in their careers. Flexible work hours and working from home are major trends among the millennials as well as many freelancers.
Home offices are becoming all the rage as flexibility and convenience take prominence. While you can go all out to create a fancy or stylish home office, if space is a constraint then just some essentials are enough to create the ideal office pad.
Gayatri Dongre, Senior General Manager at Western Furniture in UAE shares some top tips to create the perfect home office:
Choose a brightly lit space. Light is essential, so choose a well-lit place. If your home does not have proper natural light invest in good quality lamps – floor or wall lamps are ideal.
Seating space. You are your own boss at home-office so you have the freedom to choose where you want to place your den. You can choose from a corner table and chair or a versatile couch or armchair paired with a coffee table that will help you work and relax at the same time.
The pliant use of desk table. Some people cherish working with plans and charts spread across the table that helps them to have a broader outlook. If you are one among them, then go for a foldable table that gives you the option to use according to your convenience.
Declutter with Wall Units. Instead of getting cupboards, even if small, wall units are perfect for a home office. This is a clever-storage option where you can clutter and declutter as you like, without creating a post-work mess.
