NBO Customers Can ‘Purchase Now and Pay Later’

National Bank of Oman (NBO) cardholders can now set up Easy Payment Plans (EPP) directly through the Bank’s updated Mobile App. Through a touch of a button, customers will have the option to convert their purchases into affordable monthly installments with a commission fee of 6% or 8% over the course of 6 or 12 months respectively.
John Chang, General Manager and Chief Retail Banking Officer at NBO, said: “The integration of EPP within the Mobile App offers cardholders the opportunity to tailor-make their own payment plans that best suit their lifestyle. Customers can enjoy a wide range of shopping, dining, and travelling choices while still being in control of their finances. This purpose-driven product is one of many we are planning to launch to add more ease and convenience to customers’ lives.”
For every credit card purchase of OMR 100 or more, customers can immediately convert the transaction into an EPP through the Mobile App. There are no limits to the number of transactions that can be converted as long as the total amount does not exceed 50% of the credit card’s limit and is done before the monthly payment is due. EPP can be applied on local and international purchases. NBO’s Mobile App can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhones, and Google Play for Android devices.
