NCSI to conduct FDI survey in Oman
The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will conduct on Sunday its annual comprehensive survey of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Oman during the financial year ended 2017.
This is to develop an accurate database to help decision-makers. It will not only help in the planning process, but will also play a major role in creating an environment conducive to attracting foreign investment.
The survey will help identify the role of foreign investment in current and future economic development. Besides, it will determine the distribution of foreign investment in different sectors and the impact in the Sultanate, especially in the areas of manpower, exports, imports and international services.
The survey will be conducted using an electronic system dedicated to such work. It is available on the official website of the centre (www.ncsi.gov.om) where the establishments, which are included in the survey, will be provided with user name and password through e-mail to make the entire process easy.
