Real estate trade reaches RO128mn in Dec 2017


The total value of traded contracts in Oman’s real estate sector reached RO128mn during December 2017.
Meanwhile, fees collected stood at RO5.4mn, according to figures issued by the Ministry of Housing. The total number of real estate transactions amounted to 29,765 including sale, will, inheritance, exchange and mortgage transactions.
The number of sale contracts during December 2017 exceeded 3,944 worth of RO63.56mn, while the collected fees from sale contracts reached RO2.72mn. A total of 908 mortgage contracts worth RO63.53mn were signed across the sultanate during December. The total fees collected worth more than RO384,000. The Governorate of Muscat recorded the highest mortgage contracts at 276 among all governorates in Oman.
