Strategic Agreements Signed to Support Railway Project between Oman & UAE
The Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today signed a number of strategic agreements in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate, to support the shared railway network project.

The pacts include a long-term commercial agreement signed by Hafeet Rail with Emsteel to transport and export raw materials from the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates. Further, two main contracts were signed with Larson & Toubro (L&T) and PowerChina, to design and build railway facilities in the Sultanate of Oman. The second contract was signed with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) to supply a fleet of freight wagons.
