His Majesty The Sultan Issues Royal Decree Concerning Vodafone Oman

Muscat: Vodafone Oman could begin operations soon after a Royal Decree granted the telecommunications company a Class 1 license to operate in the Sultanate.
In a Royal Decree issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, it was revealed that Vodafone – the Oman Future Telecommunications Company – was granted a Class 1 license that will enable the company to provide both fixed and mobile services in Oman.
While news of the official date of commencement hasn’t been revealed yet, Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology had stated earlier that the service provider could begin operations in early 2021.
