Chestertons MENA expands business with new Director of Valuations

Chestertons, the leading international real estate services firm, has bolstered its senior management team and expanded its business verticals in the region with the appointment of Navtej Jhagra as an Associate Director in the Dubai Valuations team.
Based in the company’s Middle East head office in Dubai, Jhagra will be responsible for undertaking a range of valuations relating to both commercial and residential property within the UAE by providing informed, market-facing, and independent advice to clients.
Before joining Chestertons, Jhagra held a variety of valuation-related positions at Land Sterling Property Consultants. During his time with the company, whilst leading the Abu Dhabi and Dubai teams, he personally valued an extensive range of properties across a number of asset classes as well as undertaking business development resulting in a 400% increase in revenue for the company’s valuation department.
Nick Witty, Chestertons’ Managing Director MENA, commented: “Despite the disruptive effects of the pandemic during the last six months, we have not only been able to retain our market share but expand our business lines. To continue providing the high level of service our clients have come to expect from us, we have expanded our Dubai real estate valuations team and are delighted to welcome Navtej as an Associate Director.
“He has a strong understanding of the UAE property market and has a wealth of experience in successfully managing regional teams. This, combined with the ability to deliver articulate and accurate valuations for a range of clients, will be crucial for our future growth aspirations,” he added.
Jhagra’s core focus will be undertaking residential and commercial property valuations for secured lending purposes and financial reporting for a range of clients, including banks, owners, and occupiers in the UAE.
“Chestertons is a market leader in this region, with an established history, strong global reputation, and a strong market presence in the UAE. I am delighted to have joined the organisation and excited to contribute to the growth and success in the coming years,” said Jhagra’s.
Jhagra is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS) and an RICS-Registered Valuer. He was also responsible for developing a RICS accredited graduation programme, guiding and mentoring team members to the qualification.
