Shell Development Oman Unveils New Training Courses

Shell Development Oman (SDO) has launched its 2019 edition of ‘Shell Professional Courses’ programme, geared towards equipping participants with vital soft skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
The three-day, year-round courses offer Omani youth across the Sultanate – including Muscat, Sur, Salalah, Al Buraimi, Sohar and Nizwa – the chance to enhance their expertise and skills, reaffirming Shell’s commitment to training Omani youth for development.
New courses have been added to the Shell Professional Courses programme for the first time this season, such as a new Presentation Skills course along with advanced editions of the Public Relations and Social Media and Leadership Skills.
The first course this year, Change Management, gets underway in Muscat from March 25th to 27th, and last year’s participants can easily enroll in the newly added advanced courses.
“Working with the local communities is integral to our strategy and we are always looking at ways to address their concerns and needs,” said Muna Al Shukaili, General Manager – External Relations and Social Investment Lead at SDO. “These specialized courses are aimed at supporting the future generation to progress their careers, be able to work smarter and be more agile in an ever-changing business environment. A more empowered workforce not only contributes to the development of businesses but to the socio-economic development of the entire nation.”
