The Chairman and CEO of National Bank of Oman (“NBO”) recently led a group of senior managers to inspect the progress of construction of the company’s new Head Office. The state-of-the-art facility is being built by Al Turki Enterprises, a 100% Omani-owned construction company, in the strategic location of Al Athaibah, Muscat.
Scheduled for completion in 2017, the 50,000 square metre development will comprise a total of nine floors, including two basements levels, ground, mezzanine and five upper floors, providing high-quality office space together with a range of supporting facilities. The design is inspired by the country’s world-famous landscape while showcasing the key cultural elements which define Oman.
The delegation was pleased to see that construction of the two basement levels stories is now nearing completion with work having moved on to the ground level.
Mr. Ahmed Al Musalmi, CEO of NBO, said: “Construction of NBO’s new home in the heart of Muscat is making great progress and we are firmly on-track for a 2017 opening. Once open, the new facility will not only be a prestigious new landmark on Muscat’s skyline but also the platform for the next phase of NBO’s growth. We look forward to serving our nation and our customers from our new world-class headquarters, while creating a truly exceptional work environment for our employees as we continue to drive our vision forward: To be the bank of choice.”
