Yango Ride Introduces Group Accounts in Oman for Families & Businesses

Families coordinating transportation for household members, parents arranging rides for their children, and businesses managing mobility for employees and teams can now do so more conveniently from one place.

Yango Ride, part of the global technology company Yango Group, has introduced Group Accounts in Oman, enabling a single user to centrally manage transportation for up to 20 people, with individual spending limits, consolidated payments and greater visibility over trips and mobility spending.

The feature is designed for anyone who regularly manages mobility for others, including parents, household administrators, entrepreneurs, business owners and team leads. Group Accounts eliminates the need to share payment credentials, manage multiple accounts or coordinate individual reimbursements, making it easier to organize transportation while maintaining control over spending.

How Group Accounts work

Setting up a Group Account takes just a few minutes. The account holder can invite members using their mobile phone numbers and assign individual spending limits based on each member’s requirements. The account owner can also receive periodic weekly or monthly reports covering trips taken and spending across the group, providing a centralized overview of transportation activity.

The feature combines flexibility for individual riders with greater control and visibility for the person managing the account.

Key features include:

  • One account, multiple members: Invite up to 20 people using their mobile phone numbers.
  • Personalized spending limits: Set individual spending limits for each member and adjust them at any time.
  • Periodic reports: Receive weekly or monthly reports covering trips and spending under the Group Account.
  • Full visibility: Track overall mobility activity and spending across the group.

Making everyday mobility easier in Oman

Group Accounts addresses a common mobility need for people who arrange transportation not only for themselves, but also for family members, colleagues and others. Whether it is helping coordinate everyday family travel, arranging transportation for household members or managing rides for employees, the feature brings these activities together in one place.

By combining multiple riders, individual spending controls and consolidated reporting, Group Accounts gives account owners a simpler way to manage transportation while allowing members to continue using Yango Ride for their individual trips.

Sheikha Ambuali, Country Manager of Yango Oman, said, “Mobility is often about more than getting from one place to another. Families, businesses and individuals regularly arrange transportation for other people, and managing those journeys can become complicated when different accounts, payments and expenses are involved. Group Accounts brings these activities together in one place, giving users greater control, transparency and convenience. We are pleased to introduce this solution in Oman as we continue to develop mobility experiences that respond to the everyday needs of our customers.”

Technology designed around everyday mobility needs

The introduction of Group Accounts in Oman reflects Yango Ride’s focus on developing technology-driven mobility solutions that address practical transportation needs. By enabling users to manage rides, spending and reporting for multiple people through a single account, the feature provides a more streamlined approach to everyday mobility management for families, businesses and other users.

Group Accounts is now available to Yango Ride users in Oman, subject to availability and applicable terms and conditions.
